UFC Fight Night: Bermudez vs Korean Zombie preview

Posted by

Cult mma icon Chan Sung Jung also known as The Korean Zombie returns to the octagon after a spell of injuries & two years of mandatory military service in his home country of South Korea. The last we saw of Jung was over three years ago when he unsuccessfully challenged Jose Aldo for the featherweight title in which he gave the champion some problems before dislocating his shoulder leaving Jung unable to defend himself.

Since the finale of The Ultimate Fighter Dennis Bermudez has a record of 9 wins and 2 losses in his UFC career, currently ranked #9 in the featherweight division. His losses have come against Ricardo Lamas & Jeremy Stephens ranked #3 and #5 respectively. Bermudez’s most notable win came in 2013 against Max Holloway the current interim featherweight champion.

Potential fight of the night

Dennis Bermudez vs Korean Zombie

Korean Zombie is the proud owner of two fight of the year awards and one submission of the year award, popular among the fans because of his daring aggressive style. As far back as i can recall he’s never been involved in a fight that wasn’t entertaining. Bermudez is also no foreigner to a tear up, more than willing to engage & always fights at a high pace. I expect nothing less than an explosive finish to the card from these two.

Fighter to watch

Alexa Grasso

In the talent stacked women’s strawweight division Alexa Grasso stands out as one for the future. At 23 years old she has heaps of time to improve her skill set, presently undefeated a win against Felice Herrig would open up contests against top ten ranked fighters continuing her ongoing growth as a mixed martial artist.
